In the Democratic primary for Congressional District 2, the Sun-News endorses Las Cruces' Bill McCamley over Hobbs' Harry Teague.
When the two candidates attended the Sun-News editorial board's endorsement interview, they essentially wrote the script for us.
"I'm what this district has shown it wants: A conservative, middle-aged businessman," said Teague.
"A conservative Democrat in this district? We've tried that before," replied McCamley. "I'm someone who can offer a contrast to the Republicans."
Both comments are accurate.
